Partnership Consolidation For Local Development in Oltenia" Mobility Project 2013/BIL-1/013

Project realized with the financial support of the NGO-Fund Programme in Romania, programme financed by SEE Grants and administrated by the Civil Society Development Foundation.

During the period 1st-5th of July 2013, Fundatia Adina Stiftelsen Romania and Adina Stiftelsen Norway met for talks in Bergen (Norway) as part of a mobility project financed under the NGO-Fund Programme of the EEA Financial Mechanism 2009-2014.

Talks concerned the preparation of three larger projects to be submitted for financing as part of the relevant components of the NGO Fund. The two main organisations held meetings with other potential partners from Norway as follows:

  • for the Social Services component: meeting with Stiftelsen Kirkens Bymisjon Bergen, a Norwegian NGO active in social services for parents and children at risk whose focus is also on the Roma population coming from Romania to Norway these days;
  • for the Engage component: meetings with the Departments of Education and Social Sciences of the Bergen University College, a highly reputed educational establishment active in sociological research and teacher training issues;
  • for the Social Justice component: meetings with Connect Norge (Connect Vest) and Bergen Teknologioverforing AS (BTO), two entities involved in business development with focus on start-ups.

The meetings provided ample opportunities for all the participants to know each other better, promote the EEA programmes further and share potential project ideas that might benefit those areas in Oltenia where Fundatia Adina Stiftelsen Romania and Adina Stiftelsen Norway are most active. Three project applications will be submitted under the three above-mentioned components subject to further agreement with the potential Norwegian partners.
